📢 Breaking news (Sep 5, 2025): The Tasmanian Government has received:85 interim allocations for Subclass 190。80 interim allocations for Subclass 491。
The official 2025–26 program allocations will be released in the coming weeks.
For 190 Applicants
- Those who already hold a provisional 190 nomination but still have valid visas should wait patiently.
- 190 allocations will be prioritized for applicants whose visas are close to expiry or who are on bridging visas.
For 491 Applicants
- All applicants who already received a provisional 491 nomination will soon receive formal nomination confirmation.
The opening date for new ROI applications has not yet been announced. Updates will follow as soon as released.
Tasmania 190 Nomination Requirements
- Local Workers:
- Occupation must be on the TOSOL list
- At least 6 months of work in Tasmania before applying (min. 20 hrs/week)
- Contractors must show 12 months of work, with at least 15 months cumulative work in Tasmania
- Tasmanian Graduates:
- Must complete a full-time course in Tasmania and receive a completion letter
- Must have lived in Tasmania from the start to the end of the course (min. 2 years)
- Minimum qualification: AQF level 5 or above, or Cert III highly relevant to ANZSCO Group 3/4 occupations
- Long-term Residents:
- Resided in Tasmania for 3+ years
- Worked in Tasmania for at least 12 months in a Skill Level 1–3 occupation
- Overseas Healthcare Workers:
- Valid skills assessment in medical/nursing professions。Must have a Tasmanian job offer
- Must not have lived in another Australian state in the past 12 months
Tasmania 491 Nomination Requirements
- Local Workers:
- At least 6 months in a Skill Level 1–3 role, OR 12 months in Skill Level 4–5 role
- Employment must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the application date
- Employer must confirm the role is genuine and in shortage
- Tasmanian Graduates:
- Completed at least 40 weeks of CRICOS-registered study
- Must have resided in Tasmania for at least 1 year during the course
- Long-term Residents:
- Resided in Tasmania for at least 2 years
- Worked at least 6 months in Skill Level 1–3 role or 12 months in Skill Level 4–5 role
- Small Business Owners:
- Operated a business in Tasmania for at least 12 months
- Business income must meet at least 85% of TSMIT threshold
- Overseas Applicants (Job Offer Pathway)通道):
- Must hold a formal job offer closely related to nominated occupation
- Must not have lived in another Australian state in the past 12 months
- Overseas Applicants (Passive Invitation Pathway):
- Register on Migration Tasmania Gateway
- Occupation must be listed on Overseas Skilled Occupation Profiles
- Must show sufficient funds to cover 6 months of living expenses
- Must provide evidence of job-seeking activity with Tasmanian employers (at least 2 positions contacted)
