Required Materials<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Declaration of Current Relationship Status<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applicants must confirm that they are not currently in a marriage or de facto relationship. EBP will provide a declaration form that must be printed, fully completed, and signed in the presence of an authorised witness. This can be a Justice of the Peace (JP), a pharmacist, a police officer, or another acceptable signatory.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Identification Documents<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both parties must provide proof of identity. The simplest option is to submit a passport and driver\u2019s licence.\nIf these are not available, you must provide three (3) documents from the following four categories:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Bank statement showing address<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      • Victorian university enrolment confirmation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        • Victorian rental agreement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
            \n
          • Utility bills (water, electricity, gas, or phone) showing address<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            2. Evidence of Single Status\uff0cIf either party has previously been married or registered in a de facto relationship, you must also provide one of the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            • Divorce certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
                \n
              • Relationship revocation certificate<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                • Death certificate of former spouse\/partner<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                  Important Notes\n\nAfter submission, there is a 28-day cooling-off period.\n\nIf neither party cancels the application within this period, processing will commence.\n\nTypically, the de facto certificate is issued within approximately one week after the cooling-off period ends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
