Applications for Monash University’s Semester 2 2026 intake are drawing to a close. If you planned to commence your studies at Monash in 2026 but failed to secure a place in Semester 2 due to insufficient preparation time, unsatisfactory English language results or missed application deadlines, a new option is now available. Monash University will offer a November 2026 intake for eligible students. Qualified applicants may be awarded the AUD 10,000 Future Leadership Scholarship. Scholarship places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served nomination basis. Prospective applicants are advised to prepare documents as early as possible.
Who should consider the November intake?
The November intake delivers greater flexibility for study progression, and is particularly suitable for students who:
- Missed the application window for Semester 2 2026
- Wish to commence studies promptly instead of waiting until 2027
- Are preparing English language test results or supplementary application documents
- Have just received their undergraduate academic transcripts and aim to progress directly to a master’s program in Australia
- Want to minimise the gap between studies and commence overseas education sooner
Please note that not all programs are available for the November intake. Before applying, you must verify whether your target program participates in this intake, as well as its curriculum structure, duration and subsequent subject enrolment arrangements to ensure suitability.
1AUD 10,000 Future Leadership Scholarship
Eligible students applying for the November 2026 intake may receive:
10,000AUD Future Leadership Scholarship
Important reminder: Scholarship funding is limited and will not be granted automatically upon application. Nominations are processed on a first-come, first-served basis by the university. The timing of receiving a Full Offer may directly impact your chance of securing the scholarship. Interested applicants should finalise program selection and document preparation early, and are strongly advised against submitting applications close to deadlines.
Eligibility Criteria for Applicants
Based on information released to date, applicants must satisfy all the following requirements:
1. Hold a passport issued by Mainland China
This scholarship opportunity is open exclusively to passport holders from Mainland China.
2. Apply for the November 2026 intake
Applicants must apply to commence the following programs in November 2026:
Undergraduate programs
Coursework master’s programs. Research degrees and programs with alternative intake dates are excluded from this opportunity.
3. Hold a Full Offer for Monash University Australian campuses
Applicants must obtain an Unconditional Full Offer issued for Monash University’s Australian campuses.
Critical Notice:
Package Offers are not eligible for scholarship nomination under this scheme.
Examples of Package Offers include combined offers incorporating an English language program plus main degree, foundation program plus undergraduate degree, or any other combined offer where you have not yet met direct entry requirements for the principal course. These cannot be used to apply for nomination under the current scholarship rules. Therefore, apart from submitting university applications early, applicants should promptly meet all academic, English language and other entry requirements to convert to a Full Offer at the earliest opportunity.
Why is a Full Offer so important?
Many students believe their application is nearly complete once they receive a Conditional Offer. However, a conditional offer means you still need to satisfy outstanding requirements, such as:
- Submitting complete graduation certificates and academic transcripts
- Achieving the minimum English language score required for your program
- Meeting minimum academic grade thresholds
- Providing course descriptions or additional supporting documents
The university will only issue a Full Offer once all conditions are fulfilled. Given limited scholarship places allocated via first-come, first-served nomination, satisfying all offer conditions as soon as possible is critical. Obtaining your Full Offer earlier significantly improves your prospects of being nominated for the scholarship.
Recommended Next Steps
Students planning to apply for the November 2026 intake are recommended to complete these steps promptly:
- Confirm whether your target program accepts November intake applications
- Assess if your academic background meets entry requirements
- Prepare academic transcripts, graduation documentation and English language results
- Submit your program application at the earliest opportunity
- Provide supplementary documents immediately after receiving a Conditional Offer
- Convert to a Full Offer and confirm scholarship nomination arrangements
If you do not yet hold a satisfactory English language result, map out your study timeline by working backwards from test dates, result release periods and university processing times. Avoid last-minute preparation which could cause you to miss both the intake and scholarship opportunity.
Missing Semester 2 2026 does not mean you have to wait until 2027 to commence your studies. Monash University’s newly launched November 2026 intake creates an alternative pathway for students aiming to start undergraduate or coursework master’s programs as soon as possible. Eligible Mainland Chinese passport holders can compete for the AUD 10,000 Future Leadership Scholarship. Bear in mind scholarship quotas are limited, and applicants must hold a Full Offer for an Australian campus. For prospective candidates, priority should be given to confirming program availability, preparing documentation and progressing applications.
